The Handheld Remote Speed Controller - Complete Kit ships assembled and field-tested: a Bourns PDB18 series B100k potentiometer and E-Switch R1966 series rocker switch (UL listed, File E121922) wired internally, a 5 ft. braided cable terminating in a JST-XH connector matched to your PWM, and the Cradle Mount included. Justin field-tested this unit on a Vanhunk Mahi Mahi 11' towing two loaded kayaks — three people, one mile at full power with a 36lb thrust NP Trolling Motor, still reaching 3.5 mph — and iterated through 2 potentiometers, 2 rocker switches, several CAD revisions, and 2 PWM controllers before this spec was finalized.

Compatibility

The JST-XH connector is terminated and tested with the Briidea 2nd Gen PWM and HARMNEE PWM DC Motor Speed Controller. Also compatible with PWM controllers that use a potentiometer and toggle switch for speed and on/off control — not full motor current pass-through. Verify your controller's wiring diagram if your model is not listed.

Connector Swap Note: JST-XH female pins can be removed from the housing and reinserted to match your PWM's harness without cutting or resoldering.

Wiring color schemes vary by PWM. Your controller's leads may not match the cable colors in this kit. A colored wiring diagram is in progress — check the product page for updates. Until then, verify your PWM's wiring diagram before connecting.

What "plug-and-play" means here: You connect the JST-XH lead to your PWM's pot and switch pins — two wires, no soldering. If your PWM is not listed above, verify your wiring diagram first. This product does not include a PWM controller.

Install Difficulty: Plug-and-Play — Connect the JST-XH lead to your PWM's signal pins, slide the housing into the Cradle Mount, tighten the track hardware. Basic wiring knowledge required to match leads to the correct PWM pins.
