Handheld Remote Speed Controller Parts Kit for Trolling Motors
Sourcing a potentiometer and rocker switch that fit this housing means finding the right ohm rating, the right switch form factor, and confirming dimensions before you solder — and getting any of those wrong means starting over. The Handheld Remote Speed Controller Parts Kit ships the housing, back cover, and the exact components this housing was designed around: a Bourns PDB18 series B100k potentiometer and E-Switch R1966 series rocker switch (UL listed, File E121922), all unassembled so you wire it to your spec. Justin built and confirmed this kit on a Vanhunk Mahi Mahi 11' after his HARMNEE PWM was soaked in 25+ MPH winds — the Briidea and HARMNEE wiring compatibility in the notes below came from that rebuild.

Who It's For
Builders comfortable with soldering who want housing-matched components without sourcing them separately — or who already have a PWM and want to finish the handheld side.
Compatibility
Components are spec-matched to this housing. Compatible with PWM controllers that use a potentiometer and toggle switch for speed and on/off control. Not compatible with PWM controllers that route full motor current through the pot or rocker switch — verify your controller's wiring diagram before ordering.
Confirmed compatible: Briidea 2nd Gen PWM, HARMNEE PWM DC Motor Speed Controller. Both ship with connector leads you can solder directly to the pot and rocker switch terminals in this kit. No additional connectors required for either of those controllers.
Both tested PWM controllers also ship with their own pot and rocker switch. You can use those stock components in this housing instead if you prefer. Note: if you swap out the Briidea 2nd Gen stock components, the original enclosure will have open holes — cover them with marine-grade tape until a cover plate is available.
Wiring Note
During Justin's own rewiring, the motor ran in reverse when the rocker switch was in his preferred position. Fix: swap the two signal wires at the pot terminals, or flip the orientation of the rocker switch during installation. Catch this on your first bench test before mounting the unit.
Important: This housing is not waterproof. Not designed to be submerged or soaked.
Install Difficulty: DIY — Requires soldering and basic wiring knowledge. Components arrive unassembled. You connect the pot and rocker switch to your PWM's signal lines.
